We been waiting a long time for this one, especially with the delay due to Covid. Was the wait worth it? I would say it was. Part 2 keeps up the tension from the first film as well as adding some nuance as well.
After the introduction scene which shows us how the monsters arrived on our planet(they are from space because every monster arrives from space, duh), the movie picks right up from the first one and shows the surviving family members still trying to survive in the world ravaged by the monsters. Now that they know the weakness of the creatures, it should be easier. Except it's not.
The reason why it isn't so easy is due to the human element. There are other survivors out there, and some have succumbed to their savage natures. Thankfully the surviving family meets a family friend to help them along. Because it is shown that just one creature is all it takes to cause a lot of damage.
The movie provides many intense moments, as well as some poignant ones. It will keep your attention all the way to the nail biting end. My only complaint, and some minor spoilers, is that besides some minor characters, there are no major deaths. There's times the main characters are put in precarious situations, but they seem to be able to escape the situation no matter the danger. The movie ends just like the first on a cliffhanger, which will lead to the inevitable part 3.
If you enjoyed the first film, then you definitely like the second one. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, and will practically be over before you know it. If you already seen A Quiet Place Part 2, feel free to leave your thoughts below!!
