Don't Breathe(Review)[Terrifying Theatrical Tuesday]
Here is my top favorite horror movie featuring Stephen Lang. His character in this is just....it is beyond words. This is a movie that starts off well enough but then it takes a complete left turn, and you will never be the same by the end of it.
The movie is about a group of young teens who are going around robbing houses and are looking for their next score. They are tipped off about a blind man, and it seems like an easy win. Almost too easy. But the man is an army vet, and knows how to use his senses. So of course, they get caught and must find a way to escape his den of madness.
What makes the man so lethal is the fact not only is he blind and had his military training to help him, but he has lost all faith in humanity. He even tells one of his victims that a man who doesn't believe in God is capable of anything. Another thing that drove him to the brink is his daughter was killed in a car accident. So with everything he experienced, you can understand why he feels the way he does. And when the twist comes, you will see he literally is capable of some pretty dreadful acts.
The movie shows how ruthless and lethal he is, and the lengths he will go to protect his own as well as some secrets he's been keeping. And even though the right thing to do is to get the authorities involved, he cannot quite do that. He keeps quiet literally to the end. That ending is just something else.
If you haven't seen Don't Breathe by now, you need to. It's just one of those horrors where you start out just nonchalantly watching...but soon find yourself on the edge of your seat. If you have already seen this, feel free to leave your thoughts below!!
