Overlord(Review)[Terrifying Theatrical Tuesday]

This is one of those movies that disguises imagined horrors with the real horrors happening on the surface. Overlord was originally supposed to be set in the Cloverfield universe, but due to negative reaction to the Cloverfield movie released on Netflix, plans were changed and this became it's own movie

Overlord is set during World War 2 during the eve of D-Day as American paratroopers drop behind enemy lines to destroy a radio transmitter that was installed on top of a fortified church occupied by Nazis. They soon discover an inhuman experiment unlike what has ever been seen, and must not only battle the Nazi threat, but fight for their very souls.

So the movie starts out like it's your average war movie before venturing into far left field. Being directed by JJ Abrams, it comes with the mystery and unanswered questions you come to expect from his movies. This movie is very extreme and violent, especially when it ramps of the insanity later in the movie. It gets pretty gruesome to say the least.

I would say this movie is worth checking out, especially to try to puzzle out the mysteries within. It is one of Abrams better offerings. If you like movies that are a mix of war and horror, it is definitely a good watch

What are your thoughts on Overlord? Have you puzzled out all the mysteries? What do you feel about movies that are a mix of war movies and horror? Feel free to weigh in below!!
