Another movie that adds a twist to the typical zombie movie tropes. It is definitely not well known as it should be, as this movie is clever in what it does
We follow the story of Grant Hazzy who is starting a typical day of being a radio DJ. However, news reports start rolling in of a zombie outbreak. As he and his colleagues barricade himself, he finds himself with the responsibility of warning the listeners against transmitting the virus through an unlikely source, which ends up being through speaking.
As I said, this movie is very clever, and it gives us something different as it is not your typical zombie film. Everything is given to us from the point of view of Grant Mazzy. At first, everything that is happening is presented through the news reports. But as the infection spreads more and more, then we start to see first hand the effects of the virus. What I loved is how they figured that the "cure" of the virus. But as being the sole person who understands how the virus spreads and how to stop it, it ends up not being enough if no one wants to listen. At the end of the movie, you will find yourself yelling at the TV in frustration, telling them to listen to Grant. But it is all for naught. And it definitely leaves it open for interpretation if the virus ever got truly stopped.
This movie is very rare and hard to find, and only a select few even know about it, at least in my findings. But if you are able to track it down, I definitely recommend checking it out.
