Did you know that Disney produced a slasher film? It was called Stay Alive and it is about a group of teenagers who play a survival horror computer game where if the characters die, their players die in the same manner right after.
They also tied in the legend of Elizabeth Bathory who was a woman most famously known for bathing in the blood of virgins. She served as inspiration for the vampire myths. Most of the cast is unknowns, with the exception of Frankie Muniz, who was becoming famous during the time this movie came out. The kills you did get to see were pretty gory, and again this is amazing because this was a PG-13 movie that came from a family friendly company such as Disney.
The teenagers are fall victim one by one as they try to complete the game, which the only way to do stop the killing is to stop Elizabeth Bathory herself. And even in the end, she proves to be too persistent to be stopped.
Definitely worth checking out, especially with the fact that most horror movies are based on games that already exist, in this case, it is a totally original concept. This ended up being the only slasher in the entire House of the Mouse library.
