The Black Dahlia Murder - "Everything Went Black" Review[Musical Monday]

I’ll be honest, I’m not much of a Dahlia Murder fan. I love metal, but they’re just a particular style I can’t get into on a daily basis. However, they have a single song and music video that is so cool, I can’t help but enjoy the Hell out of it.

“Everything Went Black” is a song off their album ‘Nocturnal’, and the music video is 100% a tribute to George A. Romero’s Creepshow. The video features re-enactments of 3 of the segments: The Crate, The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill, and Something To Tide You Over. It’s a fun little tribute and it is shot in a rather serious way, featuring the EC Comic light bursts and color schemes along with nearly identical cinematography.

Even if you’re not a fan of the band or that particular style of music, it’s possible that this song can be enough for you. The video is a lot of fun and I find myself watching it quite often.
