Wolf of Snow Hollow(Review)(Happy Horrordays #9)[Terrifying Theatrical Tuesday]

I heard good things about this film, and it is set around the holidays, so I figured it was worth checking out. Is it a good film...yes. Is it it a perfect film...meh, there were things I did not like about it. Let's dive right in shall we?

The movie is about a string of murders being committed in the sleepy town of Snow Hollow that point towards a werewolf being on the loose. An officer must deal with the stress of keeping the town in order as well as finding the killer responsible.

So what I did like is how the victims, they make you identify with them. In most werewolf films, the victims are just fodder for the beast. You just see the grisly aftermath. In here, you get to know them a little so when you see the grisly aftermath, it hit homes a little. You see the families as they grieve and all the emotions involved. These people want to see justice and that's not being helped when an incompetent man is in charge.

And this is where my dislike of the film comes in...the main officer I did not like his character at all. Maybe that was the point, who knows. He spends the entirety of the film screaming at people and just acting liking a petulant brat. He is a literal manchild to the extent that I even wanted to hit him. I can understand that it was a stressful situation and that can bring out the worse in people but still. At least there was the woman officer who was trying to balance everything out and try to keep things level headed. The guy was not redeemable at all, and even though he tried, even at the end, it showed he still had a lot of work to do.

The ending, which I also was a bit disappointed in. I suppose that was another point to the film, to show monsters come in all forms, but I expected more than what was shown at the end. It definitely doesn't wrap everything in a nice red bow that's for sure.

Other than that, yeah this was a pretty entertaining watch. It's pretty gory and grim, and you will find the movie ended before you even expect it. As of right now, it's available as a rental, but definitely check it out. If you already seen Wolf of Snow Hollow, let me know your thoughts below!!

Till next time, stay safe and Happy Horrordays!! -Tha Thrilla-
