World War Z(Quarantin-oween #4)(Review)[Terrifying Theatrical Tuesday]

World War Z presents the worse case scenario of what a global pandemic could lead to, except with zombies. Based on the Max Brooks novel by the same name, this movie is very tense yet fun to watch. And yet again, we get a very different type of zombie virus. The premise is about a man and his family who are stuck in the run of the mill gridlock traffic and suddenly find themselves in the middle of a zombie outbreak that has taken over their city. The man then finds himself with the task of tracking down the source of the virus with the hopes of finding a way to cure it

From the get go, this movie starts out intense and it doesn't let up until the very finish. The new breed of zombie presented here is actually kind of frightening as they are fast and lethal, nearly unstoppable unless you shoot them in the brain. All it takes is one bite for them to spread the infection, and the results are pretty much instantaneous. Unlike most zombie films where it might take days to turn, in this movie, it takes a matter of seconds . If all that isn't bad enough, these zombies are intelligent enough to work together, so if they sense prey, they will do anything to get to them. For example, say there is a wall or maybe people on top of a building. Like ants, they will pile together until they are able to reach their intended targets. So really there is nowhere you can hide from these things.

We really see the representation of a world fallen apart, and the lengths people will have to go to survive in what remains. Sometimes it brings out the worst as we know, but there is always a glimmer of hope that humanity will survive. When I first saw this movie, I wasn't sure of it, but it ended up being a very enjoyable ride. And very fitting to watch as we find ourselves in the pandemic we are in. I think watching movies like this will show that it could always be worse. Much worse.

If you haven't seen World War Z yet, I definitely highly recommend doing so as it is a wild fun ride. If you already seen it, feel free to leave your thoughts below!!

Till next time, stay safe and stay scared!! -Tha Thrilla-
